Proposed themes around which progressive forces can unite for action on peace, and against war and militarism.

Background:

Considering

• The interlocking role that the apartheid State of Israel and the Islamic regime of Iran play in the functioning and machinery of the “global regime of war”;
• The joint military assaults of the USA and the apartheid regime of Israel on Iran in June 2025, and February-March 2026.
• Crimes against humanity committed by the Islamic Republic, including the killings in the 1980s, 2017-2018, 2019, 2022-2023 and particularly the unprecedented massacre of January 2026;
• NATO’s support for Israel and the USA in the military offensive on Iran;
• The warmongering activities of the Islamic Republic;
• Decades of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine and the slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza;
• The wars either perpetuated by America, on in which the US played a prominent part in the last two decades: including in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, and Somalia;
• Constant warmongering in Africa, Asia and Europe.

• In solidarity with the struggles of the peoples of the world for freedom;
• For the staunch defence of the struggle of the Palestinian people against Israeli occupation, and the popular struggles for freedom in the countries of the Middle East region;
• For unconditional support for the struggles of the people throughout Iran involved in the movements of the workers, the women, nationalities, opponents of the death penalty abolitionists and  other movements against the reactionary Islamic Republic regime, on the road to achieving a free and democratic society.

We invite all progressive forces for joint and united actions around the following points:

• Yes to peace!
• No to war, aggression and all warmongering policies!
• No to NATO and all international or regional military alliances across the world!
• No to militarism, military industries and military monopolies!
• No to genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine!
• No to “regime change” and interference by outside powers in the internal affairs of countries!
• Yes to immediate ceasefire in the Middle East!

We propose:

The setting up of local “International Joint Committees of the Action Alliance Against War and Militarism” around the points highlighted above in various towns, cities and countries, excluding, however, the participation of governments, their flags, warmongering lobbies, fascist, ultra-right and racist, extremist fundamentalist and nationalist forces, and those who are funded by imperialist institutions or organisations.

With emphasis on the proposal nature of the above points, local and national committees are free to adapt them according to local circumstances.
